Leon Terrace Block Club Spruces up for Spring with Marquette

Apr 18th, 2009

The streets area a little cleaner and the community is a lot more cohesive off of Leon Terrace and Baldwin Street. Rose Pritchett of Safe & Sound and the Leon Terrace Block Club organized residents and Marquette students for the Great American Clean-up day. They were able to cover over 30 blocks in all with the help of Marquette University volunteers, who were very helpful and giving of their time. The annual community day was a big success with lots of people coming out of their homes, meeting neighbors and taking pride in their neighborhood. Several new families became part of the block club and the ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and clean neighborhood.
