2009 3rd District National Night Out

Aug 5th, 2009

National Night Out events in the Milwaukee Police Department’s 3rd District have been held the last several years at the new district station with great success. Every August is the scene of demonstrations, displays, amusements and general camaraderie as police department staff, block club captains, neighborhood residents and youth gather in the stations parking lot and gardens. Although the event only lasts a few hours, it takes weeks of planning to bring all of the elements together. Safe & Sound staff is always active contributors in the planning and execution of the event, assisting with outreach to raise awareness in the surrounding neighborhoods every year. The result of these efforts allows the community and law enforcement to come together under positive circumstances and celebrate their successes working together. We are already looking forward to 2010!
