Milwaukee youth, community leaders and politicians gathered at Wisconsin Community Services’ Project Excel’s Block Party to encourage community youth to stop the violence and get an education. The block party came about in part as an outcome of the Safe & Sound youth led Crime Strategy Initiative and the youths’ involvement community issues, specifically gangs and guns.
