Youth Cultural Exchange Builds Bridges

When youth leaders from the United Community Center visited the Bee-Leivers Beeyond the Stars block club and youth group they didn’t know that a new learning experience and cultural exchange would result. The youth visited each other on more than one occasion on both sides of the city for comraderie, singing as well as sharing food and stories. Not only did new relationships and experiences result for both, but also a video of their times together.

Residents Walk with their Alderman, Police and Safe & Sound

The walk was organized after numerous residents complained of nuisance loitering, public drinking and drug activity on 42nd and Capitol.
