Safe & Sound, Inc.’s Board of Directors recently elected Chief Ed Flynn of the Milwaukee Police Department as Board President. The Chief has been a board member for the past year and succeeds DA John Chishom’s successful term as Board President. We look forward to ever closer community and police collaborations to continue to reduce crime and improve the quality of life in Milwaukee.

In a recent report by WUWM’s Ann-Elise Henzel, Chief Flynn states that violent crime went down in Milwaukee in 2009, but relays concerns about this trend continuing. Barbara Notestein, Executive Director of Safe & Sound, was also interviewed for the segment.
