Roosevelt Pritchett Receives Common Council Recognition

Mar 12th, 2010

Roosevelt Pritchett, or “Rose” as he prefers, was recognized by the City of Milwaukee Common Council for his years of service as a community organizer in some of Milwaukee’s toughest neighborhoods. Alderman Joe Davis presented the award on behalf of the Common Council at a recent meeting at City Hall. Alderman Davis knows Rose’s work best, as they share a long history of successful community building together.

Mr. Rose Pritchett has been a community organizer with Safe & Sound for over ten years. Prior to Safe & Sound he attended Mississippi Valley State University majoring in physical education. He also played professional basketball in Europe and South America during the late 1980’s and 1990’s. In more recent years he has worked as an assistant basketball coach with Cardinal Stritch and the YMCA.

It comes as no surprise that people and neighborhoods respond to Rose’s honesty, work ethic and integrity. Congratulations Rose!
