The Silver Spring Neighborhood Center brought neighbors, families and volunteers together last week to clean up the Westlawn housing development near 64th and Silver Spring. After a long winter, a lot of litter had accumulated – but this neighborhood cleanup was doing more than removing trash.

Aaron Edwards, a community organizer who helped put the event together says he wants neighbors to get to know each other so they can build a tightly knit community and get them involved in block watch groups. Follow the link to hear the radio broadcast.
