Bash Video Highlights Scenes from 2011 Event

You may not have been able to attend the 2011 Basura Bash event at Clarke Square, but you can still check out the short video of the neighborhood improvement efforts and festivities. Several hundred children and families participated and collected over 300 bags of basura! Many instances of graffiti were removed and garages numbered. Everyone enjoyed their fill of nachos, climbed the wall until they were content, and danced and drummed the day away.

Thanks to everyone that joined in from area block clubs and the neighborhood. Lets not forget our elected officials, Safe Place youth, community based organizations, churches and businesses that made the event great. We know the momentum will continues with block meetings and community events throughout the summer and on into next year!
