District 2 Open House with New Captain

Milwaukee Police Department District 2 held a meet and greet with the public on Saturday, October 1st. The district opened its doors to let members of the community come in and chat with officers. Many came just to meet the newly promoted Captain Pixley. The public was also allowed to view some of the departments’ specialty units. Maria Sandoval and Lauren Thrift of Safe & Sound were on hand to provide information on block watches and information on upcoming restorative justice trainings to the crowd that gathered.

Maria works with Community Liaison Officer Jesus Gloria to provide residents with the tools they need to make their neighborhood safer. Lauren has been busy making arrangements for trainings with Erin Katzfey of the District Atorney’s Office Community Conferencing. You can contact them both at 414-221-6700 or e-mail at Safe & Sound.
