Great Day for the Leon Terrace Block Party

The residents of the Leon Terrace Block Club have something to celebrate this summer, and they did it with a good old fashioned block party. With the help of Rose Pritchett of Safe & Sound, Milwaukee Police and the Community Prosecution Unit, they were able to bring the bring the hammer down on a local hotel turned party spot.

Parklawn YMCA Safe Place Hosts First 2009 Safe Night
Safe & Sound organizers hit the streets around the Parklawn YMCA to promote the first Safe Night this summer. The result was numerous youth and even some parents attending the event, who brought energy and ideas from all across the city.
