Safe & Sound is part of a workplace giving organization called Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee. Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee (formerly ACHOICE) is Milwaukee’s only workplace giving federation with an emphasis on Social Change, Economic Justice and Environmental Awareness – with its focus completely on conditions in metropolitan Milwaukee. Founded in 1981, its mission is to build a community that ensures social equity and a healthy environment by connecting donors with issues they are passionate about. Its agencies address a range of issues including: urban violence, crime and drug abuse, racism, sexism, homophobia, animal welfare, unemployment, the environment, homelessness, civil liberties, housing, voter education, child abuse, needs of the elderly and the education of our children.

The mission of the Milwaukee HIDTA is to apply enhanced intelligence processes, a high level of enforcement coordination, and prosecution to substantially and measurably reduce organized drug distribution, drug related violent crime, and money laundering, and to reduce the demand for illegal drugs within the Milwaukee HIDTA. These initiatives are complimented by a coordinated effort to include demand reduction initiatives through Safe & Sound, which are youth focused and designed to improve the quality of life and restore neighborhood control to the citizens of the Milwaukee HIDTA.

Council members frequently host public Town Hall meetings in their districts and prepare and mail informative newsletters to constituents. Community Partners work hand-in-hand to inform residents of Aldermanic initiatives and solicit feedback and participation for important crime related community meetings.

Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office has collaborated for years with Safe & Sound to provide education experiences to Safe Place youth, such as anti-gang training and jail tours, and a positive law-enforcement presence at block club events and meetings. The principal purpose of ONDCP is to establish policies, priorities, and objectives for the Nation's drug control program. The goals of the program are to reduce illicit drug use, manufacturing, and trafficking, drug-related crime and violence, and drug-related health consequences. To achieve these goals, the Director of ONDCP is charged with producing the National Drug Control Strategy. The Strategy directs the Nation's anti-drug efforts and establishes a program, a budget, and guidelines for cooperation among Federal, State, and local entities.

Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful uses a unique combination of community improvement programs like Great American Cleanup and education to accomplish its goals. KGMB works in partnership with Safe & Sound and the community to address neighborhood cleanup and beautification efforts.

The Community Warehouse is a non-profit, faith-based provider set up to serve people in the Milwaukee community with affordable home and facility improvement materials. Their goal is to partner with foundations, individuals, builders, contractors, manufacturers and retailers to provide the resources that are needed for rebuilding Greater Milwaukee's under-served communities and as a result, significantly improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods. Safe & Sound works closely with The Community Warehouse to provide community outreach and referrals to home owners in the targeted low-income neighborhoods in Milwaukee.

The goal of the community prosecutors is to work with homeowners and landlords to resolve issues, but they can bring criminal prosecution charges against problem tenants and/or prosecute property owners and charge them for police services. Safe & Sound works closely with Prosecutors to identify and address complaints which include nuisance properties, drug dealing, prostitution, trash, dangerous dogs and code violations.

DPW contributes to the quality of life and economic development of Milwaukee in many ways. We are responsible for the design, maintenance, and operation of streets, sidewalks, alleys, bridges, sewers, water mains, underground conduit, telecommunications services, traffic signals, and street lighting. Community Partners has worked with DPW to promote or implement recycling initiatives, spring cleaning, safe chemical and tire disposal and neighborhood clean-ups and beautification.
