Katie Sanders, Safe & Sound Executive Director, and Joshua Jenkins, Safe & Sound Youth
Organizer, will be available for interviews upon request.

WHEN: Friday, July 27th at 1:00 PM

WHERE: Silver Spring Neighborhood Center Community Garden
5460 N. 64th Street, Milwaukee

DETAILS: “There are various prominent issues in society that affect our young people. A lot of young people
don’t have the opportunity to voice their discretion, and when it does occur, it’s not creatively. This
mural is a prime example of taking pertinent issues that affect our young people on a day-to-day basis,
and turning them into something positive and reassuring. This is not only therapeutic for themselves,
but also the community they live in,” said Joshua Jenkins, Safe & Sound Youth Organizer.
